David Lindsay

David is a French, English and New Zealand certified instructor who has taught skiing all over the world and founded the “Section Internationale” of the Meribel ESF in 1983. He is the son of Peter Lindsay, considered to be the “founder” of Méribel, who started the resort in 1936.

David now lives in England but returns to Meribel to do Off Piste Courses with the ESF for two weeks every season. These courses are designed for people who have done a bit of off piste and would like to do more and explore the possibilities that this offers. Off the piste is a new world that opens up the whole mountain and brings with it challenges, exhilaration, communion with nature and the satisfaction of getting away from the crowds. There are attendant dangers that need to be understood and respected.

The courses this season are from 24th Jan to 6th Feb  2015 – a lovely time of year, out of school holidays and potentially lots of fresh snow.
